we all can learn  voice-over by improving your voice e incredibly efficient with your time so once the stream of jobs come your way, you will be able to deal with them totally professionally giving the kinds exactly what they want but in a short amount of your time, that’s why you need to learn a whole load of things ,first of all let’s look at the script you get, given to read now it’s written by somebody else ,maybe by someone who hasn’t got English as their first language, it could be true ,grammatical errors in it, spelling problems as well, the script if it’s a promo script or commercial is maybe about a product system or service which you have no real understanding of ,yet after all this you have to sound the absolute expert ,cool, confident and the master of the universe 🙂

How you will start this ? first of all let’s look at the top three mistakes new voiceovers make,

TIP #1

when they get a new script at the number three position, it’s the same old song here ,no matter what the script is, nomatter what it’s about ,no matter what direction the voice-over is given, they’ve just read it the way they read.all other scripts now you hear local and regional radio news readers like this and it’s cringe-worthy, it could be anews story about a lost boy under ground or a triple murder their brain is on autopilot as they’re reading the same kind ofmodulation and bland attitude on everything,

TIP #2

appalling the second mistake with a new script is that the script is read without fully following the clients brief ,now you must take note of what accents style and pace is required, if they don’t say anything you must ask they will appreciate a call or email anyway as it’s a waste of everyone’s time if they were expecting Broncs hard sell and you deliver discovery documentary star ,

TIP #3

you get my silly mistake that new voiceovers make is to assume that they are rising and the client is wrong ,they’ll offer suggestions to make the voice over script more effective or to split the sentences up to make it easier to read, Remember the client is always right ,however and it’s a big however if a sentence genuinely doesn’t make sense to you at all, all the words for a 30-second commercial definitely won’t fit even at 100 miles an hour or you think the scriptwriter has genuinely miss something out then please ask the director to make out the things clear.
